Guessing it would be icy I took my short skis out for a couple runs this morning on the groomers and had a lot of fun. I was wrong, the snow was great and not icy at all. My skis were quick, nimble, and made me feel like a slalom racing star, but any skis would have been great. I think after having so many great powder days all in a row and such a fun Christmas break that I was getting myself down thinking it was all coming to an end.
I know the managment staff is looking forward to a much needed break and we are expecting to have the mountain to ourselves for the next few days but truthfully come Tuesday we will be wishing we were in the midst of Christmas break again. We are looking at a week of nice weather with only a little snow in the forcast so the powder won’t be as deep as it has been but the mountain will look great and ski well.
Everytime I go out the snow is fantastic from grooomers to trees, packed to powder, the skiing has been phenominal the last few weeks. Thank you all for a great couple holliday weeks and we look forward to seeing you all again.

Hey Matthew, seems like the Hodag chair is closed more often the open. Lack of snow? Also going back to Thursday Dec 20th after being closed for 3 days and lots of fresh powder. Many of us came up for the rare Hoodoo deep powder, the Green chair was not ready till around noon! Why, knowing of all the snow that had fallin, a crew wasn’t up earlier that morning or even on Wednesday getting the top cleaned up for opening on Thursday morning?
