Why Camp Here
The Middle Fork Campground is one of the newest, nicest, and most remote campgrounds in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The campground is spacious and excellent for middle size groups or scout troops. You can pretty much count on getting a site here, and reservations are not needed unless you want a specific site or perhaps on Labor Day Weekend. Take the opportunity to go up to the day use picnic area ($5 per vehicle) where the view makes you think that you are in a Swiss Valley in the Alps. Camping sites 37-39 also have this view, but you need to walk a short distance up to these sites.

Good to Know
Currently, this campground is not for the faint of heart to get to as most of the road is in gravel and sometimes potholed. RVs and trailers should proceed cautiously to avoid getting shaken up. Much of the road was just bladed in early June of 2008 which should help. This area is very popular with the locals and you will often see cars pulled over all along the road where people have parked while swimming or fishing in one of the deep pools of the North Fork of the Snoqualmie.

We expect to have a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times per day.

RV use rating is 4 out of 5
