Why Camp Here
Swift Creek Campground (formerly Baker Lake Resort) is located about half way up on Mt. Baker Lake directly across the road from Park Creek. The cabins are no longer there, but the area has been upgraded with about 50 very nice and private camp sites which will accommodate either tents or RVs. It has a view of the surrounding mountains that cannot be forgotten. This campground will be more preferred by people who see a camping experience as one where you want to get away from it all (except on holiday weekends when many others will have the same idea). It is a perfect base for those who want to spend the day on the water or camp across the lake.

Host is in the campground from about Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Site Description
There are two group sites that can be reserved. (Sites 1-5 are combined as one group and Sites 6-10 are combined as another group). Each group site may have up to ten vehicles without an extra vehicle fee. If the sites are not already reserved as a group, they may be used individually. When sites are used individually they are best used as RV sites. The group sites are next to one another and may be reserved together if available for one large group. Sites 12-49 are mostly separated by trees and can be used for tents or RV, however, some of the site driveways are not long enough for vehicles over 20 feet, see the individual site descriptions. All the sites have tent pads, but tents may be pitched off the pads if you have more than one tent. Please do not tent or park in the vegetation.

You may bring more than one vehicle (however, there is an extra vehicle fee) if the driveway is large enough or the host can find another place to park your extra vehicle.  Not all sites have enough room for more than one vehicle though. Please see the site descriptions. Any “multi” site (sites 27,33,35 and 45) has enough room to park two vehicles and the multsite fee includes the payment for two vehicles.

There is a boat ramp and a marina to tie your boat up. There is a day use/boat ramp fee at this facility if you are not camping overnight. The fee for campers not staying at Swift Creek campground is $5 per day or $9 if your vehicle or boat are there overnight.
