Jack Creek Campground

$10 per night. $5 extra vehicle charge. $5 Day Use Fee.

The campground is open from May 16 to October 6,  2008, weather permitting.

Jack Creek is located on USFS 12 about 4 miles off Hwy 20 near the Suttle Lake turn off.  In order to have some control of the campground after the fire of 2003, Hoodoo has been asked to manage the campground with fees. It is not clear yet exactly how many sites will be established, but this is being worked on in the summer of 2004. The campground is flat  and ideal for RVs. It has large sites with plenty of parking. This is our best campground for large groups with many sites able to accommodate up to 20 people and seven vehicles. Large pine trees provide plenty of shade.

For those of you who miss the ability to take a shower or use the laundry or even need an RV dump these amenities are available for a fee at Hoodoo's Black Butte RV and Motel (aka. Camp Sherman RV Park). Black Butte RV Park is located next to the school as you enter Camp Sherman. The host will be glad to help with questions about the campgrounds as well. On crowded weekends he may have information about which campgrounds still have sites available. Also an RV dump is available at the Hoodoo Lodge from 9AM to 4PM. There is one vault  toilet and no water system. This campground is being improved, but for now  has a minimum camp fee.
