Ice Cap Campground

Campground is $14.00 per night, just $7.00 for extra vehicles.

 The campground is open from May 16th to September 8 2008, depending on snow pack.

      Watch closely for the Ice Cap sign.  It comes up quickly along the highway just west of the Sahalie Falls Rest Area.  Ice Cap is located directly above the Carmen Reservoir on the McKenzie River.  The day use area features Koosah Falls and the short walk upriver to Sahalie Falls is a must.  It is short, easy and spectacular.  Ice Cap is a small campground with large and small sites.  Many of the sites are great for families.  Some sites have views of the Carmen Reservoir.  Sites 8-16 share a parking area.  These sites are best suited to tent camping. Shrouded by Douglas fir, hemlock and vine maple, Ice Cap features scenic hiking, biking and fishing.  22 sites total, 9 of which are walk-in tent sites. Ice Cap has a pressurized water system and a flush style comfort station along with 2 pit toilets.

Host is in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
