Why Camp Here
Located just southwest of Sisters, Cold Springs campground is nestled below a thick Ponderosa Pine forest mixed with Birches in the wet areas. While Cold Springs is a favorite in it’s own right with some campers, it is also very popular as a substitute campsite when the campgrounds on the Metolius are full.  A pleasant, small spring runs through the center of this popular, shaded campground, making it a great family spot with short hikes all around.  The campground road also goes in a large circle so young ones are relatively safe from getting lost, making bike rides within the campground a favorite pastime for many of the little ones.

Good to Know
The campground is well-used due to its close proximity to the nearby Sisters Wilderness Trails and the town of Sisters, but rarely ever full except during certain festival times in Sisters like the Sisters Rodeo (in June), the Annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show (always the 2nd Saturday in July), and certain holidays. During these times it is best to arrive a little early if possible.

Water is available by hand pump and there are three vault style toilets.

There may be a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.
