Why Camp Here
Trapper Creek is possibly the most popular campground in the Odell and Crescent Lake area. It is located on a small stream that feeds into Odell Lake. A bridge over the stream gives you a good view of the trout swimming up the stream to spawn. This campground is a favorite for fisherman partially because we try to make sure it is open as long as possible into the fall season, it has an excellent boat ramp, and because it is a very nice campground with paved roads.
Good to Know
It is located on the west side of the lake next to one of the nicest resorts in the area, Shelter Cove. The sites are secluded with many sites large enough for the largest RVs. During the summer nearby Willamette Pass has its lift open to take you up to the summit to view the surrounding area. It is worth the trip. A Northwest Forest Pass is needed for the boat ramp unless you are camping at the campground. Motor boats for water skiing are allowed on Odell Lake
This is normally a hosted campground, with the host arriving around Memorial Day and leaving just after Labor Day. Otherwise it is watched over by an attendant from another campground.

Please be aware that currently the Map is not accurate in terms of the location of many of the sites. Site 9 and 11 were removed some years ago and sites 31 and 32 were added. The map doesn’t reflect this. The map is useful to give you a general layout of the campground, but it does not give you the exact location of most of the sites above site 8. Please use our description below for knowledge about whether the site is on the water or is a multisite. We will show a new map when it has been made available to us. The reservation map at recreation.gov is accurate for the reservation sites. On the PDF map site above, 20 is approximately where site 18 is shown. Site 19 is where 17 is shown, etc.
