Why Camp Here
Although Point is one of our smaller campgrounds and not highly rated for RVs, it does have two of our best campsites in the Deschutes.
Good to Know
While this campground is small, Hoodoo manages several other campgrounds nearby. Elk Lake and Little Fawn Campgrounds are also on Elk Lake and the Hosmer Lake Campgrounds, Mallard Marsh and South are within minutes to the south. All of these sites are first come first serve except the few group sites. This is a popular area partially because it is so close to Bend.
10 MPH speed limit is enforced for boating on Elk Lake.
This is an non-hosted site, but the Elk Lake host is nearby from Memorial Day through Labor Day and otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times per day.

Site Description
Site #7 is located on a small peninsula with room for a small group of up to about 15 campers with four vehicles. It is a multisite so the fee is larger, but that means the first two vehicles are paid with the fee and the larger amount of persons is OK. Two more vehicles are also OK with the extra vehicle fee. Site #9 is also rated an A+ with room for a large RV and a large family. Both sites will be in high demand and since we do not have reservations here, campers are encouraged to arrange the beginning of their vacation after the weekend rather than before or try to arrive earlier in the midweek.
