Little Cove is a boat in only campground on the west side of Cultus Lake. This is something new to the Deschutes. In the past this campground was cared for on a hit and miss status with no fees and no maintenance or care. Hoodoo has been asked to try to change this. Starting in 2009 a fee will be charged for this boat in campground on the far side of Cultus Lake. Campers will park their vehicles in the Cultus Lake parking lot. They can pay their fees to the Cultus Lake host or put the fee into the iron ranger at Cultus Lake identifying it for Cultus Cove. The host will then give them a parking permit for the parking lot. Otherwise, a NW parking permit is needed for the boat ramp and parking area. Campers who already have an annual NW Pass still need to pay the camping fee but will not need an additional parking permit posted in the vehicle. The campground sites will have picnic tables and fire pits.
An attendant from Cultus Lake will be visiting the campground each day. Campers need to pay in the iron ranger at Cultus Lake or to the host directly.
