Why Camp Here
Of the Metolius River campgrounds, Riverside is one of the more remote and less developed. For instance, the sites are meant for campers to walk to with several parking areas along the gravel road that goes through the campground. Riverside is located between the Camp Sherman Store and the Head of the Metolius, upstream from the other campgrounds and the town of Camp Sherman.
Good to Know
For those of you who miss the ability to take a shower, use the laundry or need an RV dump these amenities are available for a fee at Hoodoo’s Camp Sherman RV Park and Motel, located next to the school as you enter Camp Sherman. The host will be glad to help with questions about the campgrounds as well and on crowded weekends he may have information about which campgrounds still have sites available. An RV dump is also available at the Hoodoo Lodge from 9AM to 4PM.
This is normally an non-hosted campground, but an attendant will visit two to four times per day.
