Why Camp Here
Lower Canyon Creek is a very popular local campground because very few people know how to get there, and it is really the privacy that makes this campground so nice. It has campsites right on the creek with large rock ledges to lie on and enjoy the sun and some people like to put their kayaks in here to head to the Metolius.  The area is well treed and the creek gives it a lot of beauty. There are not many sites, but they are all located close to the water and most of the sites are large enough for RVs, although most are not ideal RV sites.

This is normally an non-hosted campground, but an attendant will visit two to four times per day.

Directions
Take Hwy 20 to Forest Service Road 12 near Suttle Lake and travel north for about 3 miles, then turn east on Forest Service Road 1425 before the Jack Creek turnoff. After about 2 miles turn north on Forest Service Road 1420 and proceed for another mile until you see the Lower Canyon Creek sign on your right. The campground is about 1 mile in on this road. You can also get here by taking the turnoff to Camp Sherman from Hwy 20 and then continue straight on Forest Service Road 1420 when you get to Camp Sherman.
