The campground is open from May 22 to October 6  2008, weather permitting.

      Big Meadows can give you the feel of going back in time to a period when early Oregonians traveled over the mountains on horseback. When the corrals are full and the tents are pitched you get the feeling of an early Cascade Mountain town. Each site is spacious with 3 or 4 well-maintained corrals and plenty of room to park the trailer and RV. The campsite is located within a short distance of spectacular views and small lakes and creeks. The campground is open to any users, but is recommended for horse campers only. There is one hand pump and two double vault toilets.
