Golfer's Alert!
McKenzie Bridge is not only a
beautiful place to camp as it is situated on the McKenzie River amongst a
towering grove of Douglas Fir, but it is also temptingly close to one of the
best public golf courses in the United States,
Tokatee Golf Course. The
course is about a mile drive to the west and would be a highlight for any golfer
due to it's challenging terrain and incredible surroundings. This
campground stays fairly empty during the week giving you peace and quiet.
However, you can hear the highway from loop A. Loop B is closer to the
river and it is hard to hear cars over the roar of the river. For those staying
long enough there are showers, RV dump, and laundry available for a fee at
nearby Patio RV Park. The park is part of the Hoodoo family and is a source of
information about the area.
Normally McKenzie
Bridge is watched over by the host from Paradise campground, otherwise there
will be an attendant who will be visiting the campground two to four times per
day.
