This tiny campground is located on a small area of
land between the road and the creek. The small but nice campsites
are good for tents or small RV's. There is a pressurized water system for
drinking water, with one vault toilet. This is a great place to spend a spring
day with its flowering Dogwood and Rhododendrons or a hot summer day because of
the cool creek and tree shade. A few years ago a careless camper who was staying
outside of the designated campground area, left his fire going which tore a hole
into the heart of this beautiful area. Luckily the fire was just past Big Pool
and this campground remained unaffected.
This is normally a non-hosted campground but an
attendant from a nearby campground will visit two to four times per day.
