 Indian Creek Campground

$20/night for single sites, $10/night per extra vehicle. $5 day use fee.

Campground is open from 5/20/10 to 9/13/10. weather permitting

Reservations may be made for sites during the period from 5/27/10 to 9/11/10.

About 40% of the sites can not be reserved, these and any reservable sites that are not reserved are available on a first come first serve basis from the evenings of 5/20 through 9/12

Golden Age and Golden Access cards will receive a 50% discount for the legal holders of the cards. Discount cards do not apply to group campgrounds.

Indian Creek campground is located in Yakima County, approximately 42 miles east of Yakima, Washington. To get there, take Highway 12 west to the junction with Highway 410. Travel about 26 miles further on Highway 12 to the campground entrance.  Indian Creek Campground sits along the shore of Rimrock Lake. There are 39 sites, ranging from tent sites to back in sites with spurs 20-45 feet long and a picnic shelter day use site. The interior campground roads and parking spurs are paved. There are 6 vault toilets and a pressurized water system in the campground. The average operating season for Indian Creek Campground has been about May 15 through September 30.

We expect to have a host in the Indian Creek campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be in the campground two to four times per day.

Reservations - the reservations here are not assigned to a specific site, but rather you are asked to request a size of site for your RV if you have one. The host will then assign your site as is done at a hotel. Apparently it is done this way to avoid you getting a site that doesn't fit your rig.   If you are in a tent you will probably want a site that is FS1 20+. Those with motorhomes or trailers that are longer than 30 feet should request a site type that is either FS1 - 30+, or FS1 - 40+. We have never seen a system like this before. Apparently it was put in place last year before Hoodoo was the concessionaire. We would like to hear what you think about it and how it worked for you.
