Hoodoo's Cascade RV Parks

THE HOODOO MOUNTAIN RESORT  (Click on the name to go to a more comprehensive page) is located in Oregon's central Cascades on the top of the Santiam Pass about 1 mile south of Hwy 20 on the Big Lake Road. You will see the large green sign that says Hoodoo Ski Resort and Big Lake at the turn off from Hwy 20. Highway 20 is the road between Bend and Salem, Albany and Eugene. Hoodoo is about 40 minutes from Bend or Redmond and about 90 minutes from the Willamette Valley. (Eugene, Albany, and Salem). The historic town of Sisters is also only about 25 minutes away and is always popular during the summer especially during times like the quilt festival and rodeo.

Hoodoo is the largest of our RV Parks or campgrounds. The parking lot can handle about 400-500 RVs, and the day lodge, club house has seating for about 1,000. Our permit area includes over 800 acres, but it is close to much more. Big Lake Campground is close by along with about 100 miles of ATV roads. For pricing and more information go to our Hoodoo page, or call 541-822-3799 or email us HERE.

HOODOO'S PATIO RV PARK (Click on the name to go to a more comprehensive page) is located between Blue River and McKenzie Bridge on Hwy 126. It is about 50 minutes east of Eugene, 2 minutes east of Tokatee, one of the top 100 public golf courses and right on the McKenzie River. A campstore is located only about 2 miles away along with about a half dozen restaurants ranging from a pizza parlor to top of the line faire. The area is well known as the entry to Willamette National Forest. Patio has 60 full hookups, many of which are set up with storage carports and covered picnic areas. The park has two club house areas and caters to small to medium size groups. Many regulars come back every year to enjoy the fishing, golf (Tokatee Golf Course) and beautiful setting. Some even keep their rigs here for the whole year. For pricing and more information go to our Patio RV Park website or call

HOODOO'S BLACK BUTTE RV AND MOTEL PARK (Click on the name to go to a more comprehensive page) is located in Camp Sherman, the town that time has forgotten. Located in the center of town only a hundred feet or so from the bridge over the Metolius River, Black Butte is the place to stay for a laid back vacation in your RV or in our individually decorated motel rooms. If you are the type of person who thinks a vacation should be about doing nothing more than walking to the river to fly fish or taking a walk or bike ride along the river, than this is the place for you. Named after Sherman County, Camp Sherman area is one of the oldest resort areas in Oregon dating back to before the arrival of the white man. The Metolius River comes out of the ground full force just a couple miles from the resort, and then empties into Lake Billy Chinook only a few miles later. Summer or winter this is the place to get away from it all. The prices at both the motel and the RV park are less than in nearby Sisters. In fact the little town of Sisters is considered to be the BIG CITY by the inhabitants of Camp Sherman. From the little school (where all the students spend there winter Fridays being schooled at the nearby ski area) to the Camp Sherman Store where the locals and visitors alike go to exchange their fish stories, this is what vacations were like before Disneyland changed our outlook, and Black Butte Resort is smack in the middle of it all. For more information click on the above title or go to Black Butte's website

DEXTER SHORES RV PARK is Hoodoo's newest member of the RV park family, acquired March 1 of 2006. Dexter has the convenience of a city park since it is located only about 20 minutes from the U of Oregon and 15 minutes from I-5, but the beauty and solitude of a rural park since it is located across from the very popular Dexter Reservoir and Dexter Reservoir State Park. Groups are welcome, but are encouraged to plan ahead if they want to reserve our popular clubhouse and large deck. Dexter Shores' 60 RV sites can accommodate large groups but we are also well set up to welcome the single traveler as they stop at the lake or stay while visiting nearby Eugene/Springfield or the recreation of the Cascades. While Dexter Shores RV has many nice tent sites, it is also a good place to stop and get information about the nearby US Forest Service campgrounds that provide a more rustic setting for the RV or tent traveler. Hoodoo manages more than 70 USFS campgrounds, many of which are within 30 minutes of Dexter Reservoir and are on their own creek, river, or lake. For more information click on the green name in the beginning of the paragraph or go to our Dexter Shores Website by clicking here

GROUP ADVANTAGES:  Each year we have many different RV traveling groups that stay with us in all the RV parks. In the past many of you have stayed at several of the parks we now manage, but under different ownership of each park. We are now trying to encourage your groups to stay with our three RV full hookup parks, Black Butte Resort, Patio RV and Dexter Shores and experience the Hoodoo difference. We do offer for groups of 4 or more, group rates at each park that are lower than the normal rates less the normal types of discounts like Good Sam or AAA . In addition for groups of 10 or more we offer a free site for the wagon master to reward the leader for putting your trip together. And finally, to keep you coming back to our parks we will drop your daily site fee for each site that you use by $1 off the already low group rate when you camp at two of our parks. If you camp at all three of the parks we will drop $2 off the daily group rate for the third park. To qualify for the discount you must make the trips within one calendar year. Some of you groups already stay in all three of our parks each year. Make sure that you keep a receipt from your trips as evidence that stayed in our other parks during the year. Also, if possible, please mention that you qualify for the discount when you make the reservation so that we can have our paperwork accurate for you when you arrive.  Call our individual parks for group rates and reservations. You do not have to have the same RVs on each trip, but the number of RVs does matter. If you bring 10 RVs to the first group outing, you will qualify for up to 10 single discounts at the next outing. If you only bring 4 to the second one, you will qualify for 4 double discounts at the third and 6 single discounts for the third outing. If this isn't clear ask at the RV park. Hoodoo's RV Park is a little different. There each group will negotiate its own price depending upon how many are in the group and when you arrive. During the winter the basic rate is $30 and during the summer the basic rate is $20. Large summer groups will be charged on a package deal depending upon whether you need to use the lodge. While we only have hookups for 32 at Hoodoo, we do have room for short term stays for up to 500 rigs. Hoodoo is perfect for those who need a large lodge in which to meet in large groups.
