Oddly enough Denny Creek is located between the east and west parts of I-90, but surprisingly there is very little traffic noise that can be heard since the highways are above the campground on the mountain slopes. Denny Creek is also unique in that it is a USFS campground with some RV hookup sites. We do not have individual sewers or vaults, but there is electricity and water. There is a limit on stays though to no more than 14 days out of 30. Eleven of the sites have power and the rest do not. The group site has two hookup boxes with 30 Amp hookups. There is room in the group site for more than two RVs though. The campground is one of the few USFS campgrounds that has been built with larger RVs in mind. The area is about 45 minutes east of Seattle and about 15 minutes from the summit on I-90, located just before the steep climb to the summit along the freeway. Denny Creek runs through the campground. There are flush toilets, large secluded campsites and paved roads for the kids to ride their bikes. This is a popular campground and one of the few where we strongly recommend making reservations before coming. However, there are 11 first come - first serve sites, so the early arrivals have a good chance of pulling right into a site. If the campground is full, Tinkham campground is nearby and is rarely full. (but it does not have power hookups)

We expect to have a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times per day.
