Located just across from the
Verlot (pronounced Ver Lot by the locals) Public Service Center, so that more
information is easily available from US Forest Service representatives. Access
to fishing is only steps away in the South Fork of the Stillaguamish River, but
when you get tired of cooking your fish dinner over the fire, the nearby
Robe restaurant is a local favorite for reasonably priced dinners, especially on
Wednesday hamburger nights. Work off the food with hikes that give you a view of
the mountains. The Mountain Loop Road is well known to the Seattle Community for
its easily available majestic beauty. Check out the fish viewing bridge or lay
in the sun on the sand beach. Water from spigots is available throughout the
campground. Flush toilets are also available.
The campground is
normally hosted by a host site from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day
Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four
times per day.
