Panorama Point is nicely located on a peninsula of Mt. Baker Lake. The best sites are further in along the lake. There are a couple multiple sites for small groups located right on the water. There are 16 sites so the campground is relatively small, but it is one of the nicest on the lake. Like the other Baker Lake campgrounds this one also has mountain views and an idyllic setting. The road is paved making it a little easier for RVs to handle. In addition the layout of the park and the size of the spurs makes this campground good for larger size RVs. The isolated layout of most of the sites is also nice for tenters. Due to the beautiful setting along the lake and the nice sites, this campground is often full during the weekends. Reservations here would be a good idea, but not mandatory, since 5 of the sites have been kept back for those who just want to show up. First come users may also use the reservation sites when they are not reserved. Campers will be happy to learn that a new well has been put in by the Forest Service across from where the host has a site, so drinking water is now available. RV users will have to fill up somewhere else though. The water is not for hose hookups.

A host will normally be at this campground at least from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be visiting the campground two to four times per day.
