About 40% of the sites can not be reserved, these and any reservable sites that are not reserved are available on a first come first serve basis from the evenings of 5/20 through 9/27

Golden Age and Golden Access cards will receive a 50% discount for the legal holders of the cards. Discount cards do not apply to group campgrounds.

Iron Creek is very popular with the campers and once you enter it won't be hard to understand why. The campsites are secluded from one another by majestic, towering Firs and Cedars that provide shade as well as isolation in this old growth rain forest on the south bank of the Cispus River. It is a popular stopping spot for those who would like to spend the night before or after viewing Mt. St. Helens from the Windy Ridge Viewpoint, 19 miles away, on the east side of the mountain. Iron Creek is also located on the north - south artery linking the north part of the Gifford Pinchot and Hwy 12 to the town of Carson 65 miles to the south on the Columbia River. The campground is relatively new in Forest Service terms with large roomy campsites and plenty of room for even the largest RVs or trailers in most sites. The campground is separated into four different loops. Don't get lost. This is the type of campground that camper enjoy staying in for prolonged periods of time. If you have plans to stay over 14 days in any 45 day period you need to talk to us first.

     We expect to have a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be in the campground two to four times per day.
