and up to a year in advance for $200 per night. The group site can
handle up to 45 vehicles and 150 campers.

reservable including 40-75 in the Red Loop and 100-146 in the Blue Loop.

Crane Prairie is one of the nicest campgrounds we manage and
one of the most under utilized as well. The campground has 146 campsites many of
which are right on the water or within a minute or two walk. The roads going
through the campground are paved as are many of the site spurs. Each site would
be considered one of the best in any other campground. There are plenty of
modern vault toilets and a pressurized water system. There is a fish cleaning
station and boat launch. If you need a shower there is a public shower area at
the resort next door along with a small grocery store that will help provide you
with your emergency marsh mellows or beer. We expect to have special programs on
many of the weekends at the centrally located amphitheater. A schedule of events
will be attached to this page when the schedule is known. The sites are fairly
isolated from one another and large enough to easily fit the whole family.
Although we do have both group and single reservable sites, reservations for
single sites mostly will not be needed except on major holidays, because there
are so many sites. If you are a last minute camper this is the place to go to
find a very nice site even at the last minute. However, about 60% of the
campgrounds are reservable including a 15 site group area on the water. (The
Yellow Loop including sites 1-15)
10 MPH speed limit is enforced for
boating on Crane Prairie.
We expect to have a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend
to Labor Day Weekend. Otherwise an attendant will be in the campground two to
four times per day.
