Whispering Pines Campground

$16 per site.     $8 extra vehicle.

Open 5/21/10 to 10/11/10.

All Sites are First Come - First Served

  • Eleven miles west of Sisters off Highway 242.
  • Nine sites, 36 individual box stalls.
  • Creek water for livestock, no potable water. One vault toilet.
  • All sites are first-come, first served.
  • The campground is rustic, so bring your own drinking water. However, it is an easy ride to get up near the Sisters Wilderness Area and the lower area below the north Sisters.
  • Located off the Sisters side of Hwy 242
  • PLEASE, horse campgrounds are meant for those with horses, it can be dangerous to have people who are unfamiliar with horse camped nearby. Also horse campgrounds are limited and there are plenty of other campgrounds where those without horses can stay. Please be courteous.

 

Whispering Pine is normally hosted by the Link Creek Attendant from around Memorial Day to Labor Day Weekends, otherwise an attendant will be in the campground each day to make sure things are clean.

RV use rating is a 3 (out of 5)

Horse Campers may only use Certified Weed-Seed-Free Hay when you stay at any of our USFS Horse Campgrounds (Certified Weed-Seed-Free Hay has a unique color twine).  For more information please call your local USFS Ranger station or click on the link here. Hay is available through Matt Cyrus at 541-771-4980 17430 Hwy 126 between Sisters and Redmond.
