All Sites are First
Come - First Served |
The sites in the Horse Camp are relatively tight
for a horse camp, but the area is popular due to the beautiful rides available.
Each site has four corrals and there is water available for the horses only.
August is very popular, but September is better if the snow hasn't started to
fall yet. The Three Creek area is known for its beautiful view of the Sisters to
Bend area below it and of the Three Sisters Wilderness area above it. Some
people like to came in this area using it as a staging area to go into the
Wilderness area or to hike between Broken Top and the Sisters heading over to
either the Waldo area or to the Cascades Lake Highway. Although many of our
horse campgrounds do have reservations, this one does not. If you would like to
see reservations here please email us, or if you would like to see things kept
the same (which is what we anticipate for the foreseeable future) please let us
know as well.
Normally there is
a host living in Three Creek Meadow from the opening date to early October, if
not, there will be an attendant who will visit the area each day to make sure
that the cleaning has been done and the fees paid.

PLEASE, horse campgrounds are meant for those with
horses, it can be dangerous to have people who are
unfamiliar with horse camped nearby. Also horse
campgrounds are limited and there are plenty of
other campgrounds where those without horses can
stay. Please be courteous. |
