Riverside is the more remote and less developed than the other Metolius River campgrounds. The sites are meant for campers to walk to. There are several parking areas along the gravel road going through the campground area. The campground is located between the Camp Sherman Store and the Head of the Metolius. It is upstream from the other campgrounds and the town of Camp Sherman.       For those of you who miss the ability to take a shower or use the laundry or even need an RV dump these amenities are available for a fee at Hoodoo's Black Butte RV and Motel (aka. Camp Sherman RV Park). Black Butte RV Park is located next to the school as you enter Camp Sherman. The host will be glad to help with questions about the campgrounds as well. On crowded weekends he may have information about which campgrounds still have sites available. Also an RV dump is available at the Hoodoo Lodge from 9AM to 4PM.      There are two vault toilets and hand pumps for water. This is normally an non-hosted campground, but an attendant will visit two to four times per day. RV use rating is a 2 (out of 5)
