Boardman
is a single site campground converted to a group site campground. The campground is
located at the far end of the Mountain Loop Road about 8 miles east of the Verlot
Public Service Center on the Stillaguamish River. While single sites along the Loop cost from $16
to $20, plus extra vehicle fees, this campground costs $50 per night. It has a
campground road that parallels the Loop Road, and probably best acommodates
groups of RVers. It can easily fit about 6 or more rigs. There are about six tent
pads with picnic tables plus different firepits. To get in, visit the host or attendant at Gold Basin as you head out
to the campground. The host will have a gate key. The campground has an elevation
of about 1,230
feet. There is a CXT vault toilet, but no water so bring your own supplies. As
of the beginning of 2008 Boardman was not available for reservations. If there
are no reservations it is available on a first come - fist serve basis. Check
with the Gold Basin Host.
The campground
is open from May 22 to Sept 29, 2008.
