Blue Pool is conveniently located off Hwy 58 on Salt Creek between Oakridge and the turn off for Waldo Lake. It has a nice grassy area for group or family activities activities but for the most part is under majestic giant Douglas Firs. The creek is pretty and easy to wade in during the summer. Most of the sites are on the water. There are some tent sites that are walk in. Several of the sites together are off by themselves and great for a small group. Sites 1 and 2 are great for a group of up to 12. They are isolated, close to the water and near some open area. Like in many of the
campgrounds in this area, you are likely to run into people who will tell you they have been coming here for years. Blue Pool is a good place to come when either the Waldo Area or Packard Creek Area is full. These sites are great, but rarely
is the campground full. Some campers like the flush toilets too. It also has two
vault style toilets and ample pressurized water for drinking.
