Group site fee is $65 per night
Host is in the
campground at Gold Basin from about June 13 to Labor Day Weekend. |
Beaver Creek is
a small group site meant for groups of up to 25 persons. The campground is
located at the far end of the Mountain Loop Road about 12 miles from the Verlot
Public Service Center just past the very small town of Silverton on the South
Fork of the Stillaguamish River. While single sites along the Loop cost from $16
to $20, plus extra vehicle fees, this campground costs $65 per night. There is
room for about 20 campers. It gives
you great privacy and is ideal for tenters mixed with RVs. There are four tent
pads and four picnic tables plus two separate camping areas around two different
firepits. To get in, visit the host or attendant at Gold Basin as you head out
to the campground. The host will have a gate key. The mountain view is
spectacular but the campground has a relatively low elevation at about 1,650
feet. There is a CXT vault toilet, but no water so bring your own supplies.
The campground
is open from June 13 (Depending on Snow) to Sept 29, 2008.
